Newly single Renee Zellweger certainly isn’t moping at home with a carton of ice-cream.
The 41-year-old actress appears in a sultry new advertisement after designing a handbag to raise money for charity.
It shows the Cold Mountain star in a cream and blue sweater with the tote over her shoulder as she crouched on the ground.
Zellweger collaborated with Tommy Hilfiger to design the accessory to raise money and awareness for the Breast Health Institute.
In another image, the Bridget Jones actress looks ethereal in a cream flowing dress. She sits on a chair cross-legged and dangles the bag against her bare feet.
The star has been in Milan, Italy, to help promote the charity and has looked the best she has looked in a long time in her choice of outfits including a red trench coat and a green strapless mini dress.
The light brown suede bag is made from natural, vegetable-tanned leather. It will retail for $425 with $140 from each sale going to the Fund For Living campaign.
The group is formed by an association to support women battling cancer and to also help cover their day to day expenses.
Zellweger said about the cause: ‘This is one of the best things about this initiative, and I love that Tommy Hilfiger has supported it for five years.’
‘It’s very real, very direct, helping women in their personal struggles, buying a wig or allowing them to hire a babysitter or to take a taxi when they don’t feel like they can ride the bus’, she added.
The cause is close to Renee’s heart because her grandmother died in 1969 after battling cancer.
She also had a cancer scare herself in 1996 and admitted that her reasons for support Breast Health Institute were extremely ‘selfish’ because friends and family members have suffered with the illness.
Having the opportunity to design her own bag and given Renee a taste of maybe becoming more creatively involved in fashion.
But when asked if she would ever release her own fragrance, like so many other celebrities, Zellweger said: ‘I haven’t really thought about it.’
However, she shared: ‘Occasionally, I have my dream shoe line in my head.’
The newly single star seems to be handling her break up well and has paraded round Italy like she has not a care in the world.
Renee split with her boyfriend Bradley Cooper last month after nearly two years together.
But she was all smiles as she strolled through JFK airport in New York earlier today having arrived back from Italy.
She was very dressed down and a world away from the glamorous past few days.
Deciding to stay comfortable in travel attire, she wore a blue patterned skirt, blue sweater and flat ballerina shoes.
Showing how down to earth she is, Renee pulled along to heavy suicases while toting another large bag and her new brown handbag.

Renee Zellweger `moves out` of Bradley Cooper`s home

Renée Zellweger has moved out of Bradley Cooper’s California home, according to reports.
The couple ended their two-year relationship earlier this month, reportedly because of Cooper’s commitment to his work.
And according to Us Magazine, the Bridget Jones actress was spotted collecting her things from the Pacific Palisades estate on Thursday afternoon.
An insider said: ‘She seems to be handling the break-up well. She had a big smile on her face and a skip in her step! Her friends feel bad it ended, but Renée’s OK. She tried to make it work, but in the end it was too hard.’

Renee Zellweger Is Tommy Hilfiger’s New Gal

Renee Zellweger is the newest face of Tommy Hilfiger’s charity initiative in partnership with Breast Health International. Starting in 2007, Hilfiger has designed a special bag each year with proceeds going towards Fund for Living, a charity which gives financial support to women fighting breast cancer.
Renee says her involvement in the initiative is actually very selfishly motivated, influenced in most part by friends and family members who have gone through cancer treatment. But whatever the reason, you still have to applaud her for participating. Renee loves the idea behind the project and says:
This is one of my favorite things about this initiative, and I love that Tommy Hilfiger has supported it for five years. It’s very real, very direct, helping women in their personal struggles, buying a wig or allowing them to hire a babysitter or to take a taxi when they don’t feel like they can ride the bus.
This year, the bag designed is a simple tan suede tote with golden hardware. It retails for $299 and $100 of each purchase will go towards the initiative. The bags hit stores globally in mid-April.

The movie My Own Love Song, featuring music by Bob Dylan, is being released on DVD and Blu-Ray in the United States, on May 3, 2011. The DVD list price is $26.98, while the Blu-Ray goes for $29.98.
The movie was directed by Olivier Dahan, and stars Renee Zelwegger, Nick Nolte, Forest Whitaker, and Madeline Zima.

After nearly two years of dating, a battle with bedbugs, and frequent engagement rumors, live-in loves Bradley Cooper and Renee Zellweger have called time on their romance. Cooper, whose new film Limitless hit theaters Friday, has parted ways with Zellweger, sources confirmed to Us Weekly and PEOPLE Magazine Friday.
They first met in 2006 on the set of their horror film Case 39, but didn’t make things official until three years later. Over the course of the relationship, Zellweger, 41, was frequently spotted around Los Angeles in the company of Cooper’s mother. And the Jerry Maguire actress was a frequent source of moral support when Bradley’s father passed away last summer
“They’re so down to earth and [they] spend time with family whenever possible,” a source close to the Hollywood duo told PEOPLE tipsters shortly after the couple went public.
Cooper, 36, and Zellweger have both been married before, albeit briefly. Renee to country superstar Kenny Chesney and Brad to to actress Jennifer Esposito. Bradley, 36, recently admitted he realised his marriage “wasn’t right” soon after tying the knot.
“It was just something that happened. The good thing is, we both realised it … Sometimes you just realize it. It just wasn’t right. It’s interesting… things happen!”

‘She’s with me’: Proud Bradley Cooper makes girlfriend Renee Zellweger take a bow

It’s not often that actors like to share their moment in the limelight.
But as he was interviewed on Inside The Actors Studio last night, Bradley Cooper did just that – pointing out his girlfriend Renee Zellweger in the audience.
An embarrassed Renee blushed before standing up to wave hello as the audience applauded.
She had been sat with Cooper’s mother Gloria, who gave her a warm smile as the attention was turned upon her.
Cooper was on the famous acting show when host James Lipton mentioned that an ‘enchanting and gifted actress’ was with him in the audience.
Cooper then proudly pointed at her, saying ‘Renee Zellweger’.
Lipton then reminded him of when Renee had been with him on the famous stage, asking her: ‘We had a great time when you were in that chair – was it OK for you?’
Earlier this year supportive Renee dropped out of the Golden Globes at the last minute to support Cooper after the death of his father Charles, 71.
The Cold Mountain actress, 41, and The Hangover actor have been dating since 2009.
They met on the set of the thriller Case 39, and rarely speak publicly about their romance.
But in an interview with Entertainment Tonight last year he gushed: ‘I can’t say enough about her… I just love her. ‘I [loved] coming to work. I love acting with her. I can learn so much from her’.
Last night Lipton also showed footage of Cooper when he had been an acting student in the audience at previous shows – asking questions of Robert De Niro, Steven Spielberg and Sean Penn.
Cooper is in fact the first graduate from the Actors Studio Drama School at Pace University to return as the star in the spotlight.

Renee Zellweger to front Tommy Hilfiger charity campaign

Hilfiger has had a partnership with Breast Health International for the past five years – and has enlisted the 41-year-old for its Spring 2011 initiative.
The brand will launch a limited edition bag, from which proceeds go to the breast cancer charity – and the fifth design will be modelled by Renee.
The campaign will debut in British Marie Claire magazine in its May issue.
The Case 39 star said: “Because of the experiences of close friends and family members who have had to endure and battle the challenges of breast cancer, I am a passionate supporter of breast health education and charitable causes.
“I am honoured and grateful to be partnering with Tommy Hilfiger to raise awareness and funds to support the invaluable work of Breast Health International.”
