Days away from its limited release in the U.S., “My One and Only” got a red carpet treatment in New York City. On Tuesday, August 18, red carpet was rolled down in front of Paris Theater, New York to welcome celebrities coming for the premiere of Richard Loncraine-directed comedy movie.
Spotted arriving solo for the special screening event was leading actress Renee Zellweger. The 40-year-old Academy Award-winner wore a figure-hugging, off-the-shoulder little black dress by Carolina Herrera. When interviewed by Entertainment Tonight on what she enjoyed most playing in the movie, she answered, “Hanging out with my boys all summer.”
Renee wasn’t the only cast attending the premiere. Logan Lerman who plays George Hamilton, Holly Palmer who stars as Tanya and Veronica Taylor who takes on Nancy joined her on the red carpet. Executive producer George Hamilton, whose early life story becomes the essence of the movie, and producer Aaron Ryder were also present.

Actor Eric McCormack is the newest addition to the cast of My One and Only, being shot in Baltimore.
McCormack, who played gay lawyer Will Truman on the hit TV sitcom Will & Grace, will appear opposite Renee Zellweger in the comedy.

A film production starring Renee Zellweger is to spend a week shooting in New Mexico. ¡§My One and Only¡¨ is scheduled to shoot in Albuquerque and Santa Fe at the end of July and the beginning of August. The film also stars Kevin Bacon and Chris Noth.Most of the film is being made in and around Baltimore, where shooting began in June. It¡¦s set in the 1950s and is based on the childhood experiences of actor George Hamilton.

Chris Noth will star with Renee Zellweger in "My One and Only," the Richard Loncraine-directed comedy based on a childhood adventure of actor George Hamilton. Shooting begins next month.
Zellweger plays Anne Deveraux, a glamorous dreamer who travels from city to city looking for a wealthy man to fund a new life for her and her sons. Noth plays a retired military doctor who might just fit the bill.
Scripted by Charlie Peters, the film is based on a true story that Hamilton shared with Merv Griffin about his early life on the road with his mother and brother.
"My One and Only" is a co-production of Raygun Prods., Artfire Films and Merv Griffin Entertainment. Artfire is financing, and Aaron Ryder, Ara Katz and Art Spigel will produce. Hamilton will be exec producer along with Ron Ward, Rob Pritchard, Dan Fireman and Robert Kosberg.
Noth reprises his role as Carrie Bradshaw's love interest Mr. Big in the "Sex and the City" feature, which New Line opens Friday.

Renee Zellweger is near a deal to star in My One and Only, a comedy based on a childhood adventure of actor George Hamilton, says Variety.
Charlie Peters wrote the script, and Richard Loncraine will direct the film, which begins shooting in April on the East Coast.
